Some patients require addition of Orthotics fitted at this clinic to correct abnormal biomechanics of the foot/lower limb which may contribute to low back pain and associated lower limb conditions. Webster Technique for Pregnancy Care and a Safer, Easier Natural Birth

Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and gentle adjustment that reduces interference to the nervous system, and especially balances pelvic muscles and ligaments. This in turn decreases the cause of intra-uterine constraint and allows the baby to get into the best possible position for birth. It is recommended for all pregnant women as part of their pregnancy care to facilitate a safer, easier natural birth. In expectant mothers presenting breech, there has been a high reported success rate of the baby turning to the normal vertex or cephalic position. The technique has also been successfully used where babies presented transverse and posterior. Chiropractor Mike Black has helped correct breech and posterior presentations in pregnant women to achieve a safe natural birth.

Children’s Health Assessment

Chiropractor Mike Black is available for consultation at Clovelly Family Chiropractic Centre for children’s’ health issues. His ongoing studies in Chiropractic Paediatrics assist in helping a wide range of health problems in children, from newborn to teenagers. We recommend all children have their spines assessed in their young, growing years.

Multi-Disciplinary Approach

This Centre operates is close consultation and referral with a number of local General Medical Practitioners, as such we have an understanding of the standard Medical approach to Health Care as they do of Chiropractic Care. If required a referral is immediately given to a medical practitioner should your problem require one for further imaging or investigation. 

Orthotic Correction

Some pelvic and spinal problems also require correct lower limb balancing with Orthotics, which can be custom fitted at this Centre. Patients with ankle, heel & foot problems also benefit from correctly fitted moulded Orthotics. Call for details.

Remedial Massage Therapy

We have long held that offering various other services in the Centre in addition to Chiropractic complements our care and adds value for our clients. We encourage the use of regular Deep Remedial Massage, which can release chronically contracted muscles and fascia, improving the balance amoung muscle groups and promoting healthful circulation.
