Meet the Clovelly Chiropractor

Introducing Clovelly Chiropractor Mike Black

After receiving a spinal fracture in high school and painful neck injuries whilst a Firefighter and getting such good instant results from chiropractic care,  Michael Black set his sights on becoming a Chiropractor and making a difference.

"I was probably the best Chiropractic PAIN patient back then, only seeking out my chiropractor when in pain and all bent over. If only I knew then what I know now" says Mike. "I'd always wanted to do something more in health care whilst working as a Professional Firefighter and Paramedic in Canada, medicine was a possibility however after having such immediate results and great experiences from chiropractic, I changed my mind."

Mike Black began his six year full-time chiropractic education at Macquarie University in Sydney. First came an Undergraduate Degree in Chiropractic Science then a Postgraduate Master of Chiropractic Degree.

Courses included biochemistry, molecular biology, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, biomechanics, radiography and X-ray analysis, orthopaedics, neurology, clinical diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Macquarie University Chiropractic Outpatient Clinics.

Mike has completed The International Chiropractic Sport Science Diploma (ICSSD) which enhances his current skills and aims to produce a well-rounded individual chiropractor, who is specifically qualified to work with athletes and sporting teams at sporting events throughout the world. Furthermore, it is the qualification required to be part of a FICS chiropractic delegation for a national or international event such as the Olympic and World Games.

"I consider myself an excellent listener and hope I get the opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your specific health challenge. Give our Clovelly office a call or email me with the link below.”

Mike Black Asks some important questions of interest to Clovelly residents - Chiropractor Clovelly Mike Black Asks...

Can chiropractic relieve PMS?
If you have nerve interferences, especially in the lower spine that impair nerves that direct and monitor the reproductive and hormonal systems, chiropractic could be helpful. Undetected nerve interferences may also be responsible for pelvic pain, incontinence, sexual dysfunction and even infertility. Maybe chiropractic can help. Find out!
What's the difference between a "good" drug and a "bad" drug?
As a chiropractor, I see the use of many drugs (legal or illegal) as merely symptom treating. Worse, virtually every drug produces unwanted effects. The effects of chiropractic are largely positive effects. If you're a Clovelly parent, consider carefully before giving your child a cough medication, cold remedy or pain reliever so this sort of question doesn't arise in the first place.
